"Codify" JIRA Configuration

Deleted user June 12, 2014

We have a failry large and complex JIRA configuration with a number of custom changes (as I'm sure many folks do). One thing that would really help is to have the ability to make changes and check in the configuration under source control. This would not only allow us to do things like code reviews for configuration changes, but also utilize DevOps tools such as Puppet to push these changes to multople servers if necessary. Jenkins has a plugin called Job DSL that does exactly this -- would be great to have a similar plugin/framework for JIRA.

Ah, now, I'd take a look at Botron's configuration tool - it can do setup versioning inside the app as well as well as transfer configs between systems (like dev -> test -> live)
