Raja rajeswari Gurram 1995 February 9, 2023

Hi Team,

We’re planning to migrate AWS hosted Jira instance to Atlassian Jira cloud using JCMA Below is the scenario:

AWS Jira instances hosted on private DB and APP sub net, these are infra details

So based on this scenario, kindly help in answering below questions:

1) Is it feasible to use JCMA for this migration?

2)Is any data loss happen due to migration?

3) any limitations of this app

Hi @Raja rajeswari Gurram 1995,

JCMA is the recommended way to migrate by Atlassian. The tool covers a lot of the heavy lifting for you, but migration is not a walk in the park, which may be complicated by the amount of customisation and extensions you have built into your on-prem Jira.

This support article gives a good overview of what does and does not get migrated with JCMA. It also mentions a couple of important other sources of information (under More information and support) worth checking out.

Hope this helps!
