Example Project Setup: 1 project key, 1 Release Train Engineer, 2 scrum teams, 2 product owners, 200 issues, synchronized sprint timing

  • Product Owner JANE works with Team 1 - the US Billing scrum team (issues 1-50 & 150-200).
  • Product Owner JACK works with Team 2 - the EU Billing scum team (issues 51-149)
  • Each scrum team has a unique board that shows only the issues that are relevant to them.
  • The RTE looks at the project backlog without filters.

Example Actions:

Product Owner JACK wants to add issue 201 and prioritize it highest in his team backlog.  It would be higher than issue 51.

Question:

1. Will Jira allow JACK to set priorities for a filtered backlog?

(Based on past painful experience, I know that when a board combines multiple project keys - they cannot be re-prioritized.  The product owners can't do their job then)
