Hi,

Is there an option to add a mandatory change when moving task from column to another column?

For example:

If I have to columns "working"& "testing" and when I move a task from working to testing I'll get notified that I must assign the task to someone else.

Hi Nir, welcome to the Community. Yes this can be done. Exactly how depends on whether you are on Cloud (url appears like xxxx.atlassian.net) or Server. If on Cloud this then depends on whether you are on Classic project of Next-gen (bottom left will say next-gen). If you are on NG then you are limited in that, while you can create a rule to set the assignee on transition (upper right ellipses) it is static, I.e. you can’t change it at the time of the transition. Finally, if you are on Classic this is where you have the most flexibility and control and can achieve what you stated as stated below:

If you are an admin ...

  1. go to project settings > screens and add a new screen and include the Assignee field. Call it something  like “Assignee Required”
  2. go to Project settings > workflows and edit the workflow that is associated with the Issuetype in question (if there is more than one).
  3. In diagram mode click on the transition where you wish to add the behavior. On the right, select Validator and add a field modified condition and complete for Assignee.
  4. Finally, associate the newly created screen by double=clicking the same transition. In the modal add the new screen to the “Screen” field.
  5. publish the workflow
  6. test
