Did you mean:

make a user story available in 2 boards (Scrum + Kanban) of one project

NS February 24, 2020

Hi Atlassian Community,

for some reason one newly created kanban board doesn't allow to "share" a user story with a scrum team board and vice versa within one project.

It is usually possible to do that with other boards by assigning the team. (There is a Team - Team Board correspondence).

Having created an issue in team scrum board, what would be a solution for making it visible in a kanban board? Which filtering or JQL-query could be applied?

As of now, Kanban and Scrum Boards have different workflows.

Many thanks for any advice.

Hi @NS

Showing the same issues on multiple boards should not be an issue. Rather, Jira is built to support this behavior. There are only two things that determine which issues shows on a board:

1. The underlying filter. The filter i am talking about is the "Saved filter" under board configurations. Also Kanban has a special "Kanban board sub-filter" that can affect this. Check if there might be any filtering going on that should not.

2. The columns of the board is mapped to the right workflow statuses. Under "Columns" of the board configuration you get to create columns. Here you also map each workflow status to the corresponding column. If a status is unmatched, the issues in it will not show on the board.

I would need some further information of how it is setup to be able to help you any further. If so, please provide the current filters and how the board has been mapped.

Hope this helps!
