jira logs out when I log into confluence and vice versa

When I log into jira and click something in jira I get logged out of confluence and when I log into confluence and click something I get logged out of jira. why is this?

Hi @Systems_Department

My guess is that you installed Jira and Confluence on the same server, didn't you? This is a known issue as the JSESSIONID cookie keeps being overwritten. Same username, different passwords on same domain like mydomain.com/jira & mydomain.com/confluence?
