Hi,
I'm trying to set up an application link between the jira and the fisheye, but it drives me mad.
I can't find anywhere how to set up the OAuth method for each application, Had a look in the documentations and googled it, still no luck. Please someone tell where are those settings EXACTLY in the jira/fisheye.
Here is the 2 printscreen what I see now:
As you can see JIRA uses OAuth for both direction and the FishEye uses OAuth (imp) for outgoing and the incoming is disabled. I want to find that admin page where I can configure either the JIRA and the Fisheye methods for authentication.
Thanks in advance.
The screenshots you posted are actually the same pages in each application where you configure which authentication type is going to be used for this application link.
Since on the Jira site you have the Outgoing set to OAuth with impersonation, then this implies that you would need to set the Fisheye Incoming connection to be the same value (OAuth with impersonation).
If you are not sure which method should be used in each application, please see OAuth security for application links. It explains in more details how each works. The basic requirement difference here is that in order to use OAuth with Impersonation, both applications have to have a shared userbase.
Once you have these set to corresponding values (Outgoing for one is the same as Incoming for the other), see if this resolves the problem here. If not, please tell us more about the specific versions of both Jira and Fisheye you are using here.
OK, I was not clear enough or I dont understand you.
As you may see on the second page the FishEye Incoming authentication disabled.
There is no way to change on these page where the printscreen came from.
Im looking for the page where I can set up the authentication type for both Jira and Fisheye.

Ok. Please answer this question:
Do Jira and Fisheye have a shared userbase? Meaning, are all the usernames in Jira also the same usernames in Fisheye?
If yes, then set all four of these options (2 on each page) to use the "OAuth with Impersonation" value.
If no, then use just the OAuth setting for both incoming and outgoing for both applications.
After you set both incoming and outgoing to the same value in both applications, try to restart both applications after making this change. If the incoming has been listed as disabled, there might be a problem with the way this link is trying to be established and it is possible that a restart of the application can help in this case.
Should you still find that the application link is not working in a particular direction, please let us know what this looks like from both applications.

We are using Crowd to manage users.
If I set all options to "OAuth with Impersonation" it's not going to work.
As you can see on the pictures the JIRA demands OAuth for both direction and the FishEyey incoming is disabled. So I thought there must be a setting where I can change these behaviour and I can force FishEye top use OAuth, that is the setting Im looking for.
Is there that kind of setting?
If yes, where? Somewhere must be an option to control that, right?
On the link you sent in your previous comment there is a BitBucket setting, called Configure Stash. All I want to know if there is a similar setting for JIRA and FishEye, and where is that?
