Our project has been using jira for two months. Problems began to appear yesterday. After I entered the user name and password, I was stuck in the login interface after I clicked login.

I check this:
1. The network is ok and jira does not use the proxy
2. Jira is sure connect the database

Hello,

We need to find the cause of the gadget crashing. Please let us know the following:

  • Are all users unable to login to Jira?
  • Can you get to other parts of Jira?
    • Please try:
      • JIRA.DOMAIN.COM/secure/BrowseProjects.jspa
      • JIRA.DOMAIN.COM/secure/ManageRapidViews.jspa

If you’re unable to navigate to any pages within Jira then please restart Jira into safe mode to see if this resolves the issue. (Safe mode will allow us to view your support tools and see if an add-on is causing the problem)

To enable safe mode:

  1. From the top navigation bar in your application, choose > Add-ons or Manage apps
  2. Choose Enable safe mode at the bottom of the page.
All user-installed apps are disabled and your application now runs in safe mode, as indicated by the message on the page.
You can now individually enable or uninstall apps.

When finished, you can exit safe mode by clicking one of these links in the Safe Mode banner:

  • Exit Safe Mode and restore the previous configuration enables user-installed apps, restoring your configuration to the state before you entered Safe Mode.
  • Exit Safe Mode and keep the current configuration enables user-installed apps, keeping all changes made to your configuration while in Safe Mode.

Once in safe mode, please check your troubleshooting and support tools and review the log analyzer. Please report any findings. Here is how to locate the above tool:

For JIRA applications go to cog > System > Troubleshooting and support tools (under System support)

Source document: Support Tools Plugin

We look forward to your response so we may help to find the cause of your hang on login.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers

I'm experiencing the same issue.

I enter my username/password into the login prompt and the system appears to process it but the page doesn't redirect.  If I refresh the page, it brings me in.

I normally experience this if I have a redirect included as part of the login (trying to access a link, but need to login).  I'm using HTTPS on a 7.0.2 on a Windows service, with LDAP/Active directory.  And accessing using Chrome 80.0.3987.163 on Windows 10.
