I damaged a Jira 8.5.1 installation, recently installed and licensed, after performing a data restoration from version 7.1.4 to 8.5.1, which caused the system to crash. I had not previously done a backup of the system, nor did I have an image of the virtual machine where Jira was installed.

Is it possible to reuse a key already assigned in a facility that has been damaged and needs to be redone?

Hi,

this is possible as long as the license is just running on one server in production. It is not allowed to have one license running on two (or even more) servers in production.

If the old server crashed it is possible to use it on a new server.
