is it possible to integrate jira with azure active directory?

Currently we are using Local account for authentication purpose.

But we wanted to moved to integrate jira with Azure active directory. is it possible?.. if so can someone share the references.

Yes it is possible. Use FREE SAML single sign on plugin for our mutual customers. You can download the plugin from Microsoft Download Center and then use Azure AD JIRA app to connect with it.
