in JSM one cannot link an asset via object id key - how strange is that ?

one cannot search assets for linking to an service issue ticket

(Object attributes to display on work item view) via the asset object id (key)

I know its asset-123, but i cannot search for it... i have to search for schema value fields. and then pick with my eye.. all in jira is pickable by the object key id - thats good

for the asset linking search that should also be. IMHO its very strange behaviour.. it seems here are developers involved, who never used jira.

To use Objects from an asset schema in a Jira work item you first need to create a custom asset field to use the objects.
