I need to move multiple epics to the bottom of the roadmap.  How can I do that without having to move them one at a time?  I have do a click shift to move multiple issues, but not epics.  That would be helpful.

Another workaround @KEN FISCHER ;

1. Label all your Epics that you want to move

2. Create 2x new Epics and place them where you want them to be in the roadmap

3. Filter the Roadmap based on the Epic Label

4. Manually move each Epic one by one. At least you are only moving the Epic up one row this way rather than endlessly scrolling for larger projects.

Hi @KEN FISCHER

I assume you mean on the basic roadmap in Jira Software (i.e available from the left-hand menu when viewing a Project/Board)?

If so, it's not possible to bulk reorder from this view, at this stage.

I couldn't see a feature request for this either - but you could raise one here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

The roadmap is just using the Ranked order of Epics though - so a workaround would be...

  • Create an additional board for your Project
  • Modify the filter so it only displays Epics
  • Modify the column layout, to put all statuses in one column (so you can re-rank Epics all together)

You can then use Shift+Select, or Control/Cmnd+Select, to select multiple Epics, and reorder them in bulk!

Your workaround is amazing and has saved me painstakingly moving 25+ epics one by one!
Thank you so much.
I would just add that you need to select a Kanban board as opposed to a Scrum board to use this workaround.
