Hi @Tejaswini Donga

No this can't be done, as on Cloud outgoing mail can only be disabled or enabled.

See, https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/configure-outgoing-mail-in-jira-cloud/

You could look at a 3rd party app like Email This Issue

@Ugnius Aušra I hope you didn't use Ai to provide this anwer :), as the link you provideed this is for Data Center only.

Hello @Tejaswini Donga

Yes, OAuth 2.0 is supported in Jira Cloud for both incoming and outgoing mail with Microsoft

For Outgoing Mail (SMTP):

  1. Go to Settings → System → Mail → Outgoing Mail
  2. Click Configure new SMTP mail server
  3. Under Service Provider, select Microsoft
  4. Enter these settings:
    • Host: smtp.office365.com
    • Port: 587
    • Protocol: SMTP with OAuth 2.0
  5. Click Authorize and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account
  6. Grant the required permissions

For Incoming Mail:

  1. Go to Settings → System → Incoming Mail
  2. Click Add Mail Server
  3. Select Microsoft as the service provider
  4. Click Authorize and authenticate with Microsoft 365

Important Notes:

  • Make sure your Microsoft 365 admin has enabled the required permissions for OAuth apps
  • The email account you authorize must have proper mailbox access
  • Basic authentication is deprecated by Microsoft, so OAuth 2.0 is now the recommended approach
