how to create a filter for rejected issues ?

Issues that are rejected will be in the CLOSED state, we would like to seperate the rejected issues from the Closed / Fixed ones

Can you please elaborate what you mean by separating out the closed issues? And where do you want to display those separated closed issues?

In order to separate the issues with status CLOSED, you can have a quick filter in your board.

1. Go to Board setting
2. Go to quick filter
3. Add Name: Closed Tickets JQL:- status=CLOSED

If you are trying to create a filter then status=closed will list the closed tickets.
