how to bulk move issues back to backlog

I have multiple issues under a status that I don't want to keep anymore. I need to move these issues back to the backlog, then, I can delete this status.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You will need to move these issues back into a status that the backlog recognises as "open".  Search for them and then select "bulk move"
