I don't think that has anything to do with using an old licence for Jira.

What do you mean "automatic" installation?

Installations ask for a licence.  As long as the version is valid for the licence, it'll accept it.

Install a Jira that was released before the end date on your licence.  You'll then be able to paste the licence key in during installation.
