how can i disable the Detail pane from opening by default?

When clicking on an issue link in the Kanban board, by default the Detail pane opens to the right. This is an extra step in getting to the full issue page.

It would be preferable to have the full issue page open directly, without the Detail pane opening at all.

Have gotten many complaints about this as an unnecessary step.

Hi @Phil Christofalo,

The best answer I have in this situation is to use the middle mouse button on the issue link, the result is the issue opens in a separate browser tab.
