trying to save an archive of jira backup and it keeps failing, have tried different browsers, different machines, im currently trying to download on an azure vm that has very fast download speeds... we no longer have support since we are momentarily pausing our jira subscription after 7 years on premium. how can i get our backup?
was able to download the much smaller backups of jira & bitbucket.
For a 34 GB Jira Cloud backup, I would avoid downloading it through the browser UI.
Atlassian has a KB specifically for large backup downloads failing in the UI due to timeouts, and their recommended workaround is to download the generated backup with curl or wget instead of the browser.
yep, I had a very similar problem lately with a large Jira backup too. The backup itself completed, but the download kept failing before the file finished.
For very large backups, that looks consistent with Atlassian’s documented timeout/download issue in the UI, so @Ajay _view26_ curl / wget suggestion is exactly the path I would try first.
