Is there a way where I can see easily which stories have development branches on it under the active sprint?

Firstly, welcome to the community

If I can understand you query correctly, you want to see stories which has development activity in it, is that correct?

My thoughts will be to use the "Label" column for the same, you can tag relevant stories at the time of creation by using a unique label (say-DEV-Branch in your case), you can later use a jql search to retrieve stories with this label tag (project = xyz and sprint in opensprint() and Labels=DEV-Branch)
