does create issue allow us to pass attachment?

I am trying to create an issue. There is one field called Attachment. I am trying to pass one image URL over there but It is not working. So I am trying to understand whether we can pass attachment in create issue or not?

If you're asking whether you can add attachment during issue creation, then the answer is yes. You have a description field where you can add contents there. Otherwise, you should add the attachment field to the create issue screen.

I am trying to create issue from Postman. So Do I need to attach the attachment in form data or I can directly pass the file path in attachment field.

If you are using REST APIs to create an issue in Jira then to upload attachments you need to an extra call (request)

AFAIK, you cannot do it in "one request"

You should be able to add an attachment when creating the issue, but you need to select a file though.
