Hi Pavel

  • Is this Jira Cloud or Jira Server?
  • IF Cloud, is this a next gen project or a classic scrum project?
  • IF Server, what version of Jira Software Server are you using now?

I am not sure that I am following here, because in both my Jira Cloud and Jira Server versions, I can still see the sprint field as an option to be edited in my setup via the backlog.

Could you provide us some more details about your environment here?  Perhaps a screenshot might help here to highlight where you expect this option to be, but no longer see this within the product.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andrew

Thank you for yuor answer

I use Cloud Jira

i think it is classic scrum project, but not sure about it. If you tell me how test it, i do it

i attach screenshot my system

jira problem.png

number 1 - curent srint

number 2 - next sprin (i create it manual)

number 3 - backlog

Current workaround solution - create next sprint manual after start curent

Hi Pavel,

This looks like a next gen project.  You can tell more easily by looking at the bottom left corner of your screen, when the side bar is expanded like so:

You should see a notice like this that tells you this is a next gen project.  Do you see this in your site?

I tried to test this out in my own instance.  I had an active sprint, a future sprint, and a backlog.  In my testing, I was able to create issues in a future sprint, but I have to use the '+ Create issue' button immediately under that sprint when it is expanded.

Do you see this + Create issue when expanding the future sprint?

I could also still edit the Sprint field directly on these issues to place them in different sprints as well.  Are you not seeing this same functionality in your instance?

Please let me know.
