×Hi how to change default text renderer to Wiki Style Renderer in Jira for release notes field?
Not that this will be immediately helpful, but Atlassian is removing the plain text renderer and will be moving all fields to wiki style rendering. Although I'm not sure what the timeframe is.

Thanks Jens, well that would solve my problem I guess ;) not sure when will the change be implemented but thanks for sharing.

Hi @RATZKE Agnieszka welcome to the community :D
I'm not sure waht your requirement is. Could you expand on it?
Also, I think this documentation could be useful to you -> Create release notes | Atlassian Support
If you have Confluence, you can create your release notes there as the Wiki Style renderer is the one Confluence uses. It should do the trick.
Have a nice day!

Hi Jamie, so I have seen an answer on similar question (Solved: Unable to switch custom text field to Wiki Style R...) but my issue is that I'm working already on project and default field configuration scheme and when I would like to change the Default text renderer to Wiki Style Renderer on Release Notes Description I'm not able to as I don't see an edit icon anywhere on the page. Can you support with ideas how can I adjust the field type? Shall I create a new field with the desired type and then rename it ? Not sure what else can help .
Thank you
