created a sprint and not sure what happens to issues not being carried to the next one

Hi there,

I have created and completed my first sprint with my team. My question would be: what happens to the issues - marked as 'done' - that are not carried to the next sprint? Are they getting deleted from the board or just made invisible? 

I'm asking this question because my management wants to see an exported excel file of the issues 'in progress' and 'done' on a weekly basis. Am I still gonna be able to do that if the sprint has been completed at all?

Boards are not containers for issues, they are a view of a selection of them.

Done issues disappear from a board when they are done and the sprint ends - you don't need them any more, because they are done.

The issues themselves are untouched, you can still search and report on them.

ok. so what you are saying is that they would disappear from the board - for the board only displays the current sprint - but they are still in the database so if I search issues, they will appear in my search. right?
