contents written in Jira, Confluence test project to a paid version used by other projects.

Choi Byeong Il February 19, 2023

Hello, I'm inquiring about technical support.

We are currently testing jira, Confluence as a free version. I wonder if it is possible to transfer or duplicate the work contents written in Jira, Confluence in this project to a paid version used by other projects.

Thank you.

Hello @Choi Byeong Il

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Do you want to maintain the data in both the Free and paid instances? Or do you want to permanently move data from the Free instance to the paid instance?

If you want to maintain data in both instances, you should investigate the third party apps that are available for synchronizing data between instances. The Atlassian Marketplace is where you find such apps.

Here is a search for apps for synchronizing Jira data. You will have to look at the details of the apps to see which synchronize data between two Jira instances.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira&query=synch

Here is an app that sounds like it will synchronize Confluence data between instances.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225377/space-sync-for-confluence-copy-publish-pages-over-sites?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

I have not used any of these apps before, so don't have any specific recommendations.
