connect jira with github

Sebastian Lewandowski June 13, 2019

Hi

I've connected JIRA with github repository successfully, but under the project settings in JIRA github does not show up and also when the pop-up shows up for issue (bug, task etc) there is no way to see the branch/commit from github.

I've connected github, granted the access

any ideas?

Hello @Sebastian Lewandowski

Are you using Jira cloud or Jira server?

On cloud it's pretty easy now to integrate github with Jira.

You have to install this app

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219592/github-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

then in your Jira in the left side navigation panel, you will see the option of "Add item", once you click on it then you can select the option of "Repository" and then select your github repo and enter your repo credentials and that's it. In any commits when you enter the issue key in the commit message then the commit will appear in the development panel of the issue.

yeah I've already done this part and all repositories are connected (screen 1) but still I can't see anything from github under my issue (please take a look at screen 2 and 3)

As you can see on the attached screen shot the development panel is not available even though the issue key has been added into commit message on github any thoughts?

Hello @Sebastian Lewandowski

The git repo you have connect in via the project navigation panel on the left hand-side using the option "Add item"?
