I am experiencing something I never saw before..

This morning I closed a sprint and started a new one, which had been created and progressively populated with stories in the past few days.

Now, if I move any story to In progress and then to Done, the burnup and bundown reports show no progress at all, even if:

- the stories do have a value in story points assigned

- the Done column does have the "Set Resolution" checkmark ticked, as it should

- as I said, everything worked perfectly fine up to the previous Sprint, which I closed this morning. It's only in this new Sprint that I am experiencing the problem

Thank you for any suggestion!!!

Hello @Remo Valente

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The behavior you are facing where no progress is displayed in your reports with the new Sprint might be caused by some changes applied to your board settings.

In order to better understand your scenario, can you confirm if you are using a Classic or Next-gen board?

Additionally, check the following topics to properly troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Go to board > ... > Board settings > Estimations and check if your estimations are configured to be based on Story Points.
  2. As you can see in this documentation, most reports (Including Burnup and Burndown charts) are based on your board's column mapping. That being said, please make sure the Done status is mapped to the right-most column of your board.
  3. Can you double-check if the issues where you are facing this problem are Stories? If they are sub-tasks, they might not be considered on the board depending on the estimation selected, as described here.
  4. Jira has two different fields to track the Story Points. Please, check under project settings > Screens if you are using the correct one to track your Story points:
    • Story points for Classic Project
    • Story point estimate for Next-gen Projects
  5. Can you confirm if the Sprint report displays the same problem?
  6. if the steps above didn't help, please provide us a screenshot of how your Reports are displaying and another from your issue that should be displayed there, properly hiding any sensitive information.
