cascading select list-javascript

i have a cascade select list, i want to define their values according to my issutype,when i set the value of first select list in my javascript code, the second one wont be update according to first one`s value, i think i need s.th like page load, but i dont know how to do that?

i found the solution,i just should call onchange() event of selectlist after setting the index,any way thanks
