My product owner created issues a JIRA-cloud project shared by multiple teams.  The epic does not show in the Timeline since it is not included in any of the sources listed.  How do I determine the "source" of the epic and move to a backlog?

Hello @nkum

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

How are you navigating to the Timeline? There are two different Timeline features available in the Jira Premium subscription.

One Timeline option is available when you are viewing an Agile board that encompasses issues from only one project.

The other Timeline feature is accessed by selecting a Plan from the Plans menu.

If you are viewing a Plan from the Plans menu, then the source data for the Plan is defined in the Plan Settings. You would need to look at the defined sources for the plan to determine why the Epic is not included. You may need to update the Epic, or you may need to modify the Plan to include additional sources.
