I want to address a task to a group of developers (team) in stead of a single person (member) is that possible?
The way Jira works (appropriately IMO but others in the Community would disagree) is to have a 1:1 relationship between a user and an issue. The idea is grounded in accountability. If an issue is assigned to multiple people, who really owns it. So while you can have multiple people on a project each individual issue should have a single owner.
Workaround (ugly IMO but doable and in fact I have done this) - create a 'group user'. Create a user called say myteam@domain.com and assign the issue to that email. Of course you will need to create the necessary process and reporting to ensure your team sees these. Such as, use in dashboards, have IT forward the emails going to that inbox to the group, etc.
Thanks Jack. Sorry for the slow reaction but we have been busy (corona). The solutions works and I still need to discus this with my colleagues. But I'm sure it will work. Thanks again !
