1) trying to see how I can link a resource unavailability so I do not plan any critical business activity during a project timeline that overlaps with the holiday

2) also trying to figure out how to activate or see the Calendar in the menu - I dont' seem to have it in my setup and can't find it in the Admin or project level

Hi @Prashanth Talkad and welcome to the Community!

I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you twice in one go here, unfortunately ...

1) Advanced roadmaps focuses on scheduling work on the timeline, not your people. Visualising unavailability of people is not a feature of the tool. It assumes that you know (more or less) the available capacity at the team level and expects you to plan on a larger scale timeline (the bigger picture rather than the day to day microplanning) to ensure you meet your deadlines. When you are primarily planning primarily from the available capacity of your individual people or teams, the marketplace has several resource planning apps available that may be a better fit.

2) The calendar view is part of Jira Work Management and not available in Jira Software projects. That means you cannot enable it in a software project.

Hope this helps!
