assignee can't receive email notification

Hi everyone,

I encountered this issue. When an issue is created and assigned to user, the user can't receive email notification. I checked for badmail at smtp server but no logs. I tested sending email to user personal email it got through. Please share your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

Hi @oliver chung

Just to rule out the obvious, have you verified that in the project notification scheme when assigning a ticket the person who receives the notification in the current assignee property?

If everything looks ok in the notification scheme, please check the logs and share the errors described there.

Hello @oliver chung,

That seems like there needs to be chenges made in your notification scheme. Go to Administration --> Issues --> Notification schemes and check whether there is Notification set up for Issue assigned.

Hi @oliver chung, Welcome to the community.

Please check your notification scheme has the 'Current assignee' configured for the necessary events or not. And also check does the user has the Browse Projects project permission for the project.

Also, you can troubleshoot the notification issues through The Notification Helper.

In addition, you can go through the article notifications troubleshooting. Hope this helps you.
