after bulk actions , i am unable to see issues in a particular sprint anymore

mansi.rajpal June 16, 2023

i have 29 issues in a sprint . which were recently moved to done status through bulk action.

after that, they are not showning up as part of sprint.

I can see them when i run a query on sprint name but do not see them in backlog or sprints ( as assigned to these)

Hello @mansi.rajpal

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Are the sprints Active (started but not completed) or Planned (not started yet)?

Issues that are already "done" will not be shown in Planned sprints nor in the Backlog issues. By setting them to a "done" status you have indicated that the work is already complete. There is no reason to include them in a future sprint when no work will be done on them during that sprint.

Done issues will be automatically hidden/filtered out of the Backlog screen except when they are included in currently Active sprints.

SPRINTS were started and completed already. for some reason two of those  3 sprints are still showing up ( even though they were marked done) so that was confusing for me

refer screenshot( sprint 1 and 2 still show up in backlog viejira.PNG

I don't see any screen images attached to your response.

You have raised two different problems.

1. 29 issues that you bulk changed to "done" status are not showing up in the sprint to which they were assigned.

2. Sprints that you believe were previously Completed/Closed are now showing up as Active again.

Let's get back to the first problem. Which sprint are the 29 issues assigned to? Is that sprint Active, Planned, or Completed? Can you show us the details of one of those issues showing us at least the Issue key, Status field, and the Sprints field? Can you show us the expanded Sprint in the Backlog screen so we can see that the issue is not listed in the sprint?

29 issues that you bulk changed to "done" status are not showing up in the sprint to which they were assigned.

 : correct

Sprints that you believe were previously Completed/Closed are now showing up as Active again.

: correct.. these sprints are completed too and issues are 'done'( as referred by strikethroughs)

Let's get back to the first problem - the 29 missing issues. After we address that we can discuss the second problem.

Which sprint are the 29 issues assigned to?

Is that sprint currently Active, Planned, or Completed? If the sprint shows on the Backlog screen it is either Active or Planned, currently. If it shows on the Board view it is currently Active. If the sprint doesn't show on either the Board or the Backlog screen then it is Completed.

Can you show us the details of one of those missing "done" issues showing us at least the Issue key, Status field, and the Sprints field?

Can you show us the expanded Sprint in the Backlog screen so we can see that the issue is not listed in the sprint?
