I have a connector setup up between aha and jira but the imports to jira fail saying there is no default component specified. In aha I have no components defined. How can I add a jira mapping rule that specifies a default component on new records coming from aha?

Hi @Chuck Piercey,

Welcome to the Community!

We also use the Aha/Jira connector, while we don't map components, you should take a look here:

https://support.aha.io/hc/en-us/articles/204836939-Map-Aha-fields-to-Jira-components-or-other-Jira-fields-Integrations-1-0-

As it indicates that you should be able to add a custom field in Aha and perform a one-way (Aha to Jira) mapping of the custom field in Aha to the Component field in Jira.

My assumption is that you will need to ensure that the value you enter in the custom field in Aha matches the name of the component you wish to have set in Jira.

I hope that helps!
