Hi,
I'm switching from one email to another, but I wanted to keep all my tasks and the groups I belong to.
I failed to do so and now instead, I have duplicated two accounts. I'm going on hols at the end of the week, and I need to figure it out, because the email will stop working at the end of the month.
What to do, help :)

Hi @Hanna ,

The cleanest way would be to delete that newly created account and then 'switch' the old one to that new email address.
This, of course, depends on whether your account is managed by the company or just by yourself.

Now, related to deleting the 'new' account - I believe there's some grace period where the account and its connection with the email are still in the Atlassian database (depending when you mark it for deletion).
However, I also think you can reach out to Atlassian Support and try to ask for expedite process (by explaining them your situation), and ask their staff if they can immediately delete the account.

Once that's done, you could change the email on the existing account - again, the process itself depends if it's a managed account and, if so, is it synced from IdP or managed locally in Atlassain Administration.

Cheers,
Tobi
