We used to have Xray on Jira, but the integration has now been removed because it wasn't being used enough.

The problem is that any new issue created still automatically shows the Test Coverage section, but the section just shows "You don't have a valid license for the Xray app".

My understanding is to update Xray settings, need to go to Project Settings > Xray settings which, of course, also shows the error "You don't have a valid license for the Xray app" and so can't access the settings to remove this default.

How can we update this so new ticket's show Test Coverage by default? (We can hide it manually, but then have to do it for each ticket)

Hi ,

Are you still using the xray issue types, that maybe an issue as that may contain residual configuration?

How was the Xray removed? was it disabled or uninstalled? Based on the info, it doesn't seem like it was remove at all. Usually, if it's uninstalled, you shouldn't be able to even see the xray settings option.
