We have successfully upgraded Jira and Jira Service Management from version 9.X to version 10.3.5 and updated all installed apps to compatible versions.
However, we encountered an issue during validation:
Issue Description:
Test steps are missing for all existing test cases in an existing project, and the message “Xray Custom Field Not Configured” is displayed. We also tried creating a new test case in the same project, but we are still unable to add test steps.
Note:
This issue occurs only in existing projects and does not affect newly created projects.

Hi Omar,
The issue occurs because the Manual Test issue type is not correctly configured, meaning Xray’s Test Steps custom field is not associated with the Manual Test screens, Configure the Field's Context/Screens, Associate with Necessary Screens, Verify Issue Type Screen Schemes.
