Wrong database server, but is working

IT-Systems October 30, 2019

Hello,

my failure - we have Postgres 10 in place and Jira Software 8.5

Warning:

PostgreSQL 10 is not supported. You should migrate to a supported database version.

But - really - i dont know how to downgrade to 9.6

Maybe we can run this version until its supported ?

Hi @IT-Systems ,

it will probably work on PostgreSQL 10, but if you have any issue and need to contact Atlassian support, they will probably not be able to assist you as you didn't follow the required guidelines for the platform.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Hi @IT-Systems ,

you can follow this issue to check when it will be available : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-65910

Atlassian is already working on it, so it's for ... soon I guess :)

For the downgrade, maybe you can have a look here : https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/224991/downgrading-postgresql-10-to-9-4

Basically, you can try doing a dump on 10 and reimporting it in the 9.6 instance.

Let me know how it goes !
