Follow these steps to characterize the problem

  • Create a Story/Ticket with a long Summary (at least 90 characters long).
  • Create some Sub-tasks for the previous ticket
  • Move Story/Ticket to InProgress.
  • Complete some Sub-tasks so that they move to Done Sprint column
  • Visit your Sprint Board (RapidBoard).
  • You'll notice that your InProgress Story, as a result of such long Summary, will shift in to the ToDo column, instead of aligning itself under InProgress column.
  • Consider *text-wrapping* the Story Summary to fix/improve its alignment in the Sprint Board's center columns.

Hi Vladimir,

Thanks for this report.  I tried to recreate this in my Jira Cloud instance, however I have not yet been successful at seeing the problem you are reporting here.   In my test I created a summary issue with 155 characters, created subtasks for it, moved the parent issue to in progress, and completed subtasks into the Done status.

However my source issue still exists in the in progress status and I do not see any problems with alignment or text wrapping in my example.

  1. Is this by chance a next-gen project?
  2. What browser/version are you using in your example?
  3. Do you see any browser console errors when rendering the page?
  4. Could you share with us a screenshot to better highlight the problem you are trying to report here?

Thanks

Andy
