Would someone please assist me with setting chart parameters?

I am creating a chart in Confluence using a table made of Jira issues combined with the Jira chart macro. I am having difficulty setting up the correct chart parameters to show the progress of issues/phases toward their due dates. My boss wants to see a "live" bar chart that shows the updated progress of each issue in terms of their due dates. Issues appear in three phases, and he'd like the issues grouped into phases. Issues in Phases 1 and 2 have the same due date, and Phase 3 has a different one. I need to show due dates along an axis, with dates ranging between 2/1/18 and 11/1/18.

If there is a way to create this chart in Jira instead, I'd be glad to do that. I would have to link from Jira dashboard to Confluence for the chart anyway.

I can't use any paid or free trial macros. I have Confluence 5.9.11 and Jira 7.3.8.  I'd certainly greatly appreciate your assistance!
