Right now, I have am connected with a number of JIRA accounts with my email address. I'd like to create a free account for my own organization, so that we're not always using our clients' JIRA accounts. But I can't figure out how to do it in the interface ... Everything is always connected to one of the existing accounts that I'm in.
I'm sure this is easy - but can someone point me to how to start this other account - with this same email? Thanks in advance.
Hi @Tim Ruppert and welcome!
I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. You can only have one Atlassian account with the same email address, and you use this account to login to different Atlassian products and instances. Basically, an Atlassian account (your user) and an instance (xyz.atlassian.net) are two different things and decoupled from each other.
This support page explains the account concept in more detail.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks @Michel Neeser - sorry I wasn't more clear. I've been a JIRA user since the beginning so I know the Atlassian account vs instance - i just didn't use the right description for the situation. My apologies.
My account - is good to go - and associated with a few different instances. What I want to do now is create my own instance, for my company, instead of just being associated with clients or partners instances.
I'm sure it's possible - I just can't find anywhere to do it in my account, teams, projects, etc ... Can you help with this clarification?

@Tim Ruppert Sure! By going to https://www.atlassian.com/try, you can always create new free instances of all Atlassian products.
For Jira Software specifically, you can start the process here and follow the steps with your existing account/email. You will only get charged if you later exceed the free limits as specified here.

Might be good to make it easy for people, under their account, if they want to create another instance - but this flow made sense.
