Would it be possible to group Sprints in Cycles using Jira Software?

We currently work in 7-week cycles that comprise 3 2-week Sprints and a Cycle Planning week. It would be nice to continue working that way using Jira Software, and be able to group Sprints in those Cycles as that would help us report about specific Cycles and their respective Sprints.

(We are planning to implement Jira Software Premium.)

Jira does not have a native feature for grouping Sprints.

What type of information would you want to be able to report on those Cycles?

We need longer planning horizons that extend beyond Sprints. A Cycle is just that. This will allow us to report on Cycles rather than Sprints and answer question like "What features were completed in what cycle?"

A Cycle is just a longer planning horizon when compared to Sprints. I believe if we use Releases they would represent these extended planning horizons. Our Sprints would then be shown within those horizons when we open the Roadmap view.
