Worklogs issue with logging

A lot of my users are complaining that worklogs have changed within Jira. Previously the time tracking component sat within the side bar and allowed them to add time and update remaining time at the same time (if it was different from original est. - work logged)

Now the remaining estimate is a separate field in the side bar and work is logged under a new timelogs element (where worklogs used to be).

However, despite there being a button in here to add a time log, it doesn't show up. I can see it under history, but not timelogs. Any one else having this issue?
