Workflow to Count Story Points is Needed

Hi, is it possible to create an automation workflow FOR Functional Groups, that will COUNT the story points of the contained stories and put that value in the Story Points field?

Can you provide more information?

What is a "Functional Group"? Is that an issue type?

How does the Functional Group "contain" stories?

Can you show us an example of a Functional Group and the stories it contains? Obscure confidential information as necessary.

It is definitely possible to use an Automation rule to sum up the Story Points values from a group of issues and store that value in another issue.
