Hello, Posting my first question and looking forward for a response, please.
1. I have the Jira cloud and a project created with issue type 'Task'
2. I have 5 Jira workflows- Draft, IT Approval, HR approval, CO Approval, CE Approval.
3. I have a screen titled 'Idea' which is displayed to the Requestor when he creates an issue. Let's assume he has three fields- 'Executive Summary', 'Key Objective' and 'ROI'.
I have used combination of automation rules and workflow properties so that Requestor can edit the task but once Requestor changes the Status to 'IT Approval', email is sent to Group 'IT Approval' and task is assigned to him and fields are locked for Requestor.
4. Based on the Requestor providing inputs into above three fields, I would like to show a second tab titled 'Effort Estimation' with two extra fields 'Internal Cost' and 'External Cost' in to 'IT Approval' so that he can input only in those two fields. Having said, First tab with 'Idea' screen should also be visible but in a non editable mode.
FYI- I have created second screen (by copying the first 'Idea' screen and adding second tab).
5. I don't want to show the second screen to IT Approver at a transit level (as in pop-up). Once Requestor changes the workflow status, IT Approver is informed and he should be able to see both tabs, with 'Idea' tab greyed out and 'Effort Estimation' tab editable.
I would like to repeat this for other workflow.
Could someone please assist, how can I achieve that ?
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Hi,
you could try behaviour for jira to hide field based on people role
