Hi All,
I created a workflow by selecting " Allow all status to transition to this one" for all the status ( 8 of them) . I then published and associated with story / task of my project.
When I create the story , the upper right hand status shows only the statuses that I have added.
Now when I create another workflow and then allow each status here to transition to next status , and create a story , the upper right hand status now shows extra flied like "Transition to --> Open " , etc. Now this phrase "Transition to -->" is it valid and proper. SHould it really appear. If yes , okay, if not then how do it remove it.
I hope I have explained clearly. Please help in resolving the issue.
Hello Anil,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
The Transition to text that you are talking about is the name of the workflow transition you have configured. Indeed, it only happens when you configure specific transitions instead of allowing any status transitions.
That been said, you are correct to say that you can not leave the transition name blank, however, you can change that text if you want to.
To do it, navigate to your project > Project Settings > Workflows > Click to Edit your workflow > Click to edit the transition you would like to
Let me know if this information helps.
Thanks Petterson. I appreciate your quick response in this regard.
We were able to create workflows that allowed ALL status transitions and the view is now consistent as per the requirements from the client.
