I'm receiving a notification in jira every day for overdue tasks. I find this notification distracting and when I returned from a vacation I had 9 notifications, all of which were daily overdue notifications.

I have had this setting disabled for years both in the product and via email, but in the past few weeks these notifications have started to show. I have confirmed the setting is disabled and re-enabled it and disabled it to be sure.

I used Rovo to troubleshoot and it suggests it may be a bug but I'm unable to submit an issue request as I'm not an admin and the URL for our cloud environment is not recognized on the support form despite the format is expected (company.atlassian.net).

Any help to get these notifications to stop showing up would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Sarah EL Giffin , welcome to the community.

You're in the right place: the toggle under Personal settings > Digests > Due or overdue work items is the only thing controlling this alert. If it keeps arriving while switched off, this isn't a location problem anymore, it's your account or your site, and that's not something you can fix from your profile.

  • The support form won't let you through because only site admins or technical and billing contacts are allowed to open cases with Atlassian. What you're describing is expected behavior, not a bug in the form.
  • The right path for you is the built in Contact Administrator form, usually at yourdomain.atlassian.net/jira/contact-administrator: it emails all Jira admins on your site, and they're the ones who can actually open a ticket with Atlassian support.

Ask them to check whether the toggle is actually being respected on the backend for your account, that's enough for them to escalate it.

Hi @Sarah EL Giffin

Welcome to the community.

The only thing I can give you is enable it again, wait some time and disable it again.

Otherwise raise an issue with Atlassian Support
