Windows Classic Workflow Problem

Deleted user March 30, 2022

Hi there,

Why in the default windows classic workflow sometimes an issue with the Closed status cannot be moved to Resolved status without re-opening.

Any reason or fix for this? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by "windows classic workflow", I can only assume it is the name of a workflow one of your administrators created and hence you'll need to talk to them about how it works.

To clarify, it is the "Classic Default Workflow".

Visually speaking, imagine us not being able to drag a Closed Issue (in this case mapped to a QA Column) to a Resolved Issue (in this case the Done Column).

We don't know why when we try to drag a Closed Issue in the QA Column to the Done column it is locked - we cannot drag and drop it to Done. Only way to proceed to move the Closed Issue to Done (Resolved) is to re-open the Closed Issue and then update it's status to Resolved in dropdown. Why can't we just drag and drop?

Thanks!

It's most likely that there is a condition on the workflow that is blocking it.  You'll need to ask your administrators to investigate.
