Why were the edit and delete functions in comments moved to 3 dots on top right?

Hi,

Does anyone know why the edit and delete functions in comments were moved to a new 3 dots icon, visible with mouse over, on top right? This change seems to have been implemented in the last few days.

I struggle to find any good reason for this change, it is much more convenient to use the functions when they were at bottom of comments along with the reply, thumbs up and add reaction functions.

I have checked multiple instances and Yes, I see this option as well.

in your Atlassian administration, under the option app updates, search for "Edit and delete comments more easily"

This has been deemed an improvement, there is n reasoning there.

In you instance you can press the question mark and the option "Give feedback on JIra"
This will provide your feedback to Atlassian

for your comment - we have the same issue and also struggle to find a GOOD reason for this change. Why going adding another click for the editors/commentator... we don't get it.
