Why was the Project Status field moved to a location that is not locked?

I'm not sure why someone would move the project status field to a position that is not visible as you scroll through the project.  It was always kind of annoying that the Summary didn't stay at the top but now you can't see the status either.  It was much better on the right side of the page where it stayed locked and visible.  Can we have the option to move it back?
