Why is the Issue color not displayed next to the Summary?

In the work item layout the field "Issue color" is placed in the Description fields for our Issue Type "Feature".
This is also the case for the issue type "Epics".

In the normal Issue view for the "Epics" the issue color is displayed next to the Summary.{BB92EBE3-224F-4915-9CCB-16F8DBE3DF2F}.png

But for the "Feature" it is not.

Are there any ideas to fix this?
Some month ago this setup worked for both issue types, but it doesn't work anymore for some reason. Maybe there was a change that we missed?

Thanks for the help <3

Hi @Khira Niemeier

Nothing is broken here, it’s just how Jira behaves now. The Issue color is mainly meant for Epics, so it still shows next to the summary there. For other issue types like Feature, the field can still exist, but Jira no longer displays the color in the header. This changed at some point, so if you still need colors for Features, you’ll have to use alternatives like board card colors.

Hi @Khira Niemeier ,

As far as I'm aware of, this field only works for Epics. I even checked on my system and it's still only for Epics. You can use card colors through board settings if that helps or use issue types icon to distinguish between issue types.
